YAVAPAI COMMUNITIES FOR KIDS, A PROJECT OF PREVENT CHILD ABUSE ARIZONA

MISSION:

To assist child or adult victims of abuse, neglect, domestic violence or sexual assault by reducing trauma, insuring thorough investigation and prosecution through a multidisciplinary team process.

AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION:

Yavapai Family Advocacy Center seeks to minimize further trauma to victims of family violence by coordinating law enforcement, Child Protective Services, prosecution, and victim support services. Short-term counseling is provided for clients. Staff identify and assist in locating resources for victims. Support groups for survivors are held weekly. Childcare is provided. A 5-week Parent Support Group is available to parents whose children have been abused.
