AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION:

AHCCCS provides several health care insurance plans that provide medical coverage for doctor’s office visits, physical exams, immunizations, prenatal care, hospital care and prescriptions.

ARIZONA POISON & DRUG INFORMATION CENTER

Title
MISSION: The Arizona Poison & Drug Information Center at the University Health Sciences College of Pharmacy in Tucson provides a 24-hour free telephone service for relevant advice about poison, chemical and medication-related emergencies, referral assistance and complete information on poison and toxins, as well as poison prevention and safe use of medications.

BUENA VISTA CHILDREN’S SERVICES

MISSION: Buena Vista Children’s Services is a community-based nonprofit organization that designs, develops and implements model programs for children. Programs address emerging needs in the areas of child care, child abuse prevention, education, parenting, special needs, resource and referral. Children’s Rehabilitative Services (CRS) clinics provide coordinated services for Arizona’s special needs children including diagnosis, surgery, hospitalization, rehabilitation, medication, and allied health services. Many families pay nothing or are covered by AHCCCS.

MISSION: To provide developmental information, emotional support and community resource referral services to families with newborns and/or young children in the greater Quad City area. This includes voluntary programs like First Steps and Healthy Families that are provided at absolutely no cost.
