MISSION:

Step Up for Kids has a mission to support parenting in Prescott and beyond, and is committed to giving parents and children dignity as they engage in the community.

AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION:

The founders of Step Up for Kids envision a community where children and their parents may live a dignified, supportive existence. Our vision is to ultimately create an aesthetically-pleasing drop-in center where new parents may go with their children to give and receive support during the emotionally rigorous times of post-partum-to-preschool parenthood. By creating and selling colorfully painted stepstools so that children may reach the sink to wash their hands, Step Up for Kids invites local businesses to pledge their support to an environment where the needs of a family are valued. Step Up for Kids offers greater community involvement in order to ease the challenges inherent to parenthood, and we collectively thrive as children develop healthy habits, and become increasingly self-reliant. As such, we are currently piloting a Mom-to-Mom support program in the home, to help new families adapt to their new, demanding role.
