A few specific programs:   Birth to Five Helpline: (877) 705-5437 is a FREE, statewide warmline for parents, caregivers and professionals with questions regarding children ages birth to five. The Helpline is answered by highly trained early childhood development specialists who take their time with the caller to provide them what they need for their individual child. There is no problem to big or small for our specialists concerns such as sleep, feeding, behavior, parenting, development are just a few. A service of the Helpline, the Fussy Baby Program provides telephone support (and in some cases home visitation in Maricopa County) for parents with hard-to-soothe infants in the first 12 months of life. Our Helpline specialists can help families and professionals find resources and services anywhere in the state. The Birth to Five Helpline is staffed Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.   Children’s Developmental Center: An innovative approach to helping children ages birth to 5 with developmental concerns, the center uses a blended model that combines the best of medical, developmental, and mental health treatments. Coordinated care by a team of pediatric specialists includes pediatrician, psychologists, speech-language, occupational and physical therapists, and a dietician working together to provide one assessment, report and treatment plan. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..   Smart Support: Partners early childhood mental health consultants with child care providers to promote the social and emotional development of all children in their care and if needed, help them respond to children exhibiting behavior challenges. Masters level professionals work with you to design an individualized plan to ensure children are engaged and learning, manage children’s difficult behavior, improve communication with parents, enhance staff relationships and provide resources and referrals.
