First, it is our mission is to provide love and a sense of security, warmth and comfort to children who are seriously ill, traumatized, or otherwise in need through the gifts of NEW handmade quilts and afghans, lovingly created by volunteer "blanketeers." Second, it is our mission to provide a rewarding and fun service opportunity for interested individuals and groups in local communities, for the benefit of children.
Project Linus blankets go to children in need, infants to 18 years of age. They are distributed throughout Yavapai County to shelters, foster children programs, school nurses, Head Start programs, low income, new births, food banks, hospitals and more. Project Linus is a 501(c)(3) National Organization with over 400 chapters made up of 100% volunteers.
