PARTNERS FOR HEALTHY STUDENTS, YAVAPAI REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER

MISSION: To provide school-based healthcare services to uninsured, underinsured and AHCCCS/KidsCare eligible children. Healthcare services are provided to children in the Prescott, Humboldt and Chino Valley unified school districts through in-school clinics. Healthcare services are also provided to children through the Partners for Healthy Students Mobile Kids Health Clinic – a state-of-the-art mobile clinic that travels to outlying communities in western Yavapai County. Healthcare services are provided by Partners for Healthy Students at no charge to families.   AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION: Partners for Healthy Students brings health services to schools for children, who have no health insurance, are underinsured or are AHCCCS/KidsCare eligible. Our clinics in the schools and our mobile kids health clinic are licensed by the Arizona Department of Health Services. Families have access to four clinics a week during school hours when school is in session. The program is absolutely free and parental involvement and attendance is a requirement. Services are provided by Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and include: diagnosis and treatment of illnesses; well child/sports physical visits; prescription medication when required for an acute illness; laboratory tests and x-ray services as deemed necessary by the Nurse Practitioner; health education for safety; and nutrition and dental hygiene. You may contact Partners for Healthy Students at (928) 771-5662 for more information, to schedule an appointment or to help you determine if your child is eligible for the program.
