MISSION:

To support community collaboration that will reduce teen pregnancy and risk taking behaviors, enhance youth leadership, and the positive engagement of youth in the community.

AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION:

North Star Youth Partnership is committed to developing healthy, self-assured, positive and engaged youth through educational, recreational, leadership, and service-learning opportunities. We offer a variety of after-school programs, events, and opportunities to help young people build resiliency and resources.

Our key programs include: Baby...Ready or Not; Teens Taking Action; Safe Sitter Training; Peer Assistance & Leadership Program (PAL); Girl Talk; Priceless Prom Project; Teen Maze; Youth Leadership Summit; and Girls & Sports Day. In addition, we provide puberty/health/abstinence education throughout Yavapai County for youth in grades 6-12 and parent workshops. All North Star Youth Partnership programs are free of charge and open to the public. More than 100,000 northern Arizona youth have participated in North Star’s award-winning programs since its inception in 1997.
