MATFORCE, THE YAVAPAI COUNTY SUBSTANCE ABUSE COALITION

MISSION: With determination and integrity, we, the citizens of Yavapai County, commit to working in partnership to build healthier communities by striving to eliminate substance abuse and its effects. AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION: MATFORCE is a nonprofit coalition that has 4 full time staff members and over 100 active volunteers working together to reduce substance abuse in Yavapai County. The main body of MATFORCE is comprised of supporters and volunteers from throughout Yavapai County, representing all walks of life. This includes agencies, organizations and individuals that represent law enforcement, business, schools, youth, parents, faith-based, government and youth-serving agencies, media, health care, treatment and recovery. MATFORCE has many different workgroups that meet monthly; the committees and workgroups implement over 70 projects a year.
