BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA

MISSION:

The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.

AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION:

The aim is to build character by building physical and mental fitness and moral alertness through wholesome indoor and outdoor experiences; building family bonds by bringing Scouting’s ideals into the home; and by building good moral character, patriotism and participating citizenship through fellowship and leadership development.

Tiger Cubs and Cub Scouts are given ample opportunities to participate in family-oriented activities.

Boy Scouts, Varsity Scouts and Venturers regularly are involved in outdoor adventures that run the gamut from short and long term camping and hiking to mountain climbing and extended canoe trips.

Career Exploring offers young men and young women the opportunity to investigate potential career choices working alongside professionals in their chosen fields, such as law enforcement, firefighting and health careers. (Serving Districts in West Yavapai, Verde Valley and Payson areas)
