MISSION:
The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates human suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.
AGENCY SELF-DESCRIPTION:
Food, Shelter: Assistance is given to disaster victims of all ages to enable them to meet their immediate critical needs following a disaster to their primary home.
Health: Physical and mental health assistance is made available to disaster victims of all ages to assist them following a disaster.
Education: Provides disaster preparedness and planning to people of all ages. This includes First Aid/ CPR /Automatic External Defibrilllator.
Hotline: Your local Red Cross is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to assist with disaster emergencies. Call 1-800-842-7349. Volunteers are needed and welcome in all areas. Volunteers must complete orientation, background screening and training.
