In 1993 the ACF of Yavapai County (ACFYC) recognized the need to connect parents and families with the resources that were available to them, and responded by producing the first published volume of service provider listings in Yavapai County. ACFYC believes that identifying and providing access to resources is the best way to help families find the help they need.

Each year ACFYC renews their commitment to the children of Yavapai County by carefully updating the information and improving The Big & Little Kids Book’s format. This year marks our full transition to a digital format that can be continuously updated as new resources are made available in our community.ACFYC, has expanded the scope of this resource guide to include children of all ages from birth to 18 across Yavapai County.

The ACF of Yavapai County is a nonprofit organization that builds and grows charitable funds to help meet community needs in Yavapai County, and assists donors in achieving their charitable goals.

Our mission is to lead, serve and collaborate to mobilize enduring philanthropy for a better Arizona.

Funds are held and managed as permanent endowments, with a portion of the investment returns used for grantmaking while the principal grows forever, providing a perpetual source of funding for the community.

Some funds have a broad grantmaking focus while others target a specific organization or field.  Grants are awarded year-round either through donor advice or through a competitive process informed by 50 local and very diverse grant committee advisors and overseen by our local Board of Advisors.

As an endowment organization, the ACF of Yavapai County can assure fundholders that their contributions will last in perpetuity, always providing a source of funding to help meet the needs of the community.  It is often said that endowment math is “funny math.”  For example, a family left a $10 million endowment with the Arizona Community Foundation about ten years ago.  Over the next decade, grants totaling about $5 million were distributed to deserving organizations across the state.  At the end of that decade the endowment had a balance of $11 million.  10 minus 5 equals 11.  That’s the power of endowment!

People don’t give money to the ACF of Yavapai County, they give money to our community through us.
